If you didn't see before, we're excited to let everyone know that Dr. Greg Forbes from The Weather Channel will be our keynote speaker at the Saturday evening dinner!
A rough agenda for the weekend:
Friday - Arrive in State College. Informal meet up for cocktails at a location TBD
Saturday:
- Breakfast: Coffee and doughnuts - opening session
- Morning: Session at the PSU Weather Center. Talks on the program; tour of the TV Studio; potential weather ballon launch
- Lunch
- Afternoon: Tour of Beaver Stadium and it's turf grass operations; tour of Accuweather's HQ and studios.
- Break
- Dinner: Cocktails (one hour open bar), dinner (cash bar) and keynote featuring Greg Forbes
Sunday: Depart State College
The fee for this will be $100 per person and will include all Saturday costs except transportation around State College (on your own, but if you don't have a car, we can help find you a ride).
The deadline for group hotel reservations is August 24. Rates will go up after that, so please reserve a room now. Details on the hotels are here.
We'll send out more information in the next week or two, but if you haven't done so already, please RSVP through Eventbrite no later than August 24 so we know you are coming. We'll reach out to everyone who has RSVPed yes with more details before Labor Day, along with payment information.
